Restoring Pride

The Army's recruitment figures and reputation suffered badly after the Bosnian War. But here was an opportunity to remind

school leavers, educators and journalists that an Army career is about choosing to do something hard, but important. The

campaign had an immediate impact on recruitment numbers and news coverage. It also picked up various industry awards.

TURNING POINTS.

Years later at JWT, I'd been given the green light to make 3 short documentaries, about people from different backgrounds who'd

all chosen army careers. The idea was to re-trace the steps that lead them to join-up, and show how their decision had changed

their lives. Unfortunately, Capita pulled the plug and the account went into review. I'd still love to make this campaign.
